PAC's Practical Guide to Prosecution: Gangs and RICO

We hope you have heard about our new series by now, but if not let's take a quick moment to review. With the new year comes many changes within the district attorney and solicitor-general offices across the state. To help with this time of transition, we are thrilled to present PAC'S PRACTICAL GUIDE TO PROSECUTION! Each week, members of our PAC legal team will be joining us to go over the basics of specialty prosecution topics. This series is for new members of the prosecution community, but ALL are welcome to attend.

The registration you are currently reviewing is for an introductory session on the Gang and RICO. Mr. John Regan, Gang Resource Prosecutor, will be teaching this session.

When: Friday, January 29th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm
Where: Zoom Webinar, registration link will be provided in the email confirmation

What to expect from this session:

The Racketeering, Influence and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) is an act that often one that prosecutors see as complex, when in reality it is a critical weapon in dismantling not only gangs, but other large criminal enterprises.  This course will talk about the RICO Act, what crimes consist of RICO, when and where to charge RICO and the steps a prosecutor can use to build a solid case.
