Additional Event Information

How is it almost February already?! It seems like we just celebrated the new year. Well regardless of how fast January flew by... we have exciting webinars scheduled in February, and this is one! The Georgia Commission on Family Violence (GCFV) will be joining us to discuss the Fatality Review Verification Process.

What to expect:
GCFV's Fatality Review Coordinator, Carolynn Brooks, will provide a presentation on the purposes of gathering family violence death data, an overview of the important role that prosecution plays in gathering this data, and review the instructions for completing family violence fatality verification. The training will feature a demonstration of the tracking forms and detailed instructions for completing the verification of domestic-violence related deaths that have occurred in Georgia.

The training is open to all parties interested, but the target audience are Victim Witness Program Directors and Advocates who have been identified as a liaison by the Director for purposes of family violence fatality verification with GCFV.

Advocate credit is available
Forms will be included in the email confirmation

CLE & POST: There is NO CLE or POST credit for this course, but prosecutors, law enforcement, and investigators are welcome to attend for the information.

Advocate:The blank certificate and the victim advocate form will be provided in the email confirmation. This will be a temporary process until we upgrade our registration system. We do still ask for you to submit your advocate form to us so we have a copy of your affidavit on file.
