The Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia, in cooperation with the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety is excited to present: Expert Witness Testimony in Impaired Driving Cases in Dallas, Georgia!
Dealing with the standard road officer is quite common. They are very capable of giving great testimony. Dealing with an Expert in a certain field is becoming more prevalent. A Defense Expert or an Expert for the Prosecution, questioning an expert witness is becoming more mainstream in an impaired driving trial. This course will provide points and suggestions for Prosecutors on how to question a Law Enforcement Expert about training & experience, as well as trying to debunk a Defense expert. It will also teach Law Enforcement how to work with their prosecutors on the stand during direct examination, as well and being cross examined by defense council.
We will provide questions that
can be asked for the level of training the Law Enforcement Officer may
have, as well as tips on testimony for the officers in Cross.
This course will provide prosecutors a wider spectrum of questions to ask a SFST, ARIDE, or DRE trained officers in court.
This is a FREE one-day training open to Law Enforcement and Prosecutors. 6 CLE and/or POST hours will be offered. Unfortunately, Defense Attorneys are not eligible to attend this training.
