Lethal Weapon: Homicide by Vehicle/DUI

Course Information

Investigating and prosecuting criminal cases arising out of vehicular crashes are highly challenging, involving complex fact and legal issues, and often involve emotional conversations with surviving family members. The goal of this course is to improve the investigation and prosecution of these crimes. Joint training allows both police and prosecutors to gain firsthand knowledge of the challenges and difficulties the other encounters in these cases. Both prosecutors and police officers crash reconstruction duties will become more effective as a result of these classes. Join a nationally-recognized team of experts to learn about investigating, charging and litigating this high-profile crime. Presenters will include these nationally-recognized experts: Professor John B. Kwasnoski, crash reconstructionist; Jim Camp, trial advocacy trainer; and Richard Ruth, consultant on use of event data recorders (EDRs) in crash reconstruction, as well as Pennsylvania-specific considerations.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations received on or after July 18, 2020. Substitute attendees, however, are permissible at any time.


PDAI will make all hotel arrangements for the attendees at the. Crowne Plaza Philadelphia-King of Prussia. Attendees are responsible for the room cost of $130.00 plus state and local taxes for Monday night. All other nights are included in the registration cost.
