Celluloid Heroes? Prosecutorial Ethics & Hollywood’s Portrayal of the Trial Lawyer
Speaker
Michael Sprow, Esquire
First Assistant District Attorney Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office Course Description
This presentation examines the portrayal of prosecutors in movies, exploring the question of whether Hollywood has ever depicted a prosecutor as the “hero.” Through selected scenes, the presentation also highlights some of the most important ethical rules that prosecutors must follow. These scenes provide a variety of scenarios that give context to the Rules of Professional Conduct and how they can crop up in the daily job of a prosecutor.
