Course Description

The Orton Gillingham (OG) approach is an Evidenced-Based multi-sensory structured language reading intervention that provide teachers with the necessary knowledge to deliver effective reading strategies to students who need more assistance with phonemic and phonological awareness, sound-symbol knowledge, spelling and syllable rules. These strategies can be implemented in whole and small group settings.

This four-day training is tailored to provide hands-on instruction that will be modeled so that you as the teacher can take back the information you learn and apply it immediately to your classroom setting. The tools and strategies taught are engaging and versatile for diverse learners.

Target Audience: K-3 Special Education and Tier 3 students

Laptops needed for subsequent work. Materials will be provided through an online learning module.

One teacher per device for the virtual training. NO Group or shared log-ins will be permitted. 

Teachers will NOT receive credit if they are simultaneously teaching while attending the training. 

*Out of Region Tuition fee is for books and refreshments.

Registration for courses must be received online prior to the registration deadline. Space is limited and is based on first come, first serve basis. Your registration status will remain pending until we receive the registration fee and approval from your system Professional Learning Coordinator. The registration fee must be submitted immediately. Registration Fees are posted for each course.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received by the registration deadline. Any cancellations received after the deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be returned. If cancellation is not made and registrant does not attend the course, the status will be "No Show" and payment will still be required.
