In today’s school environments, the need for innovative approaches for proactive strategies for behavior and discipline are needed. Educators are searching for evidence-based interventions that work to teach social and life skills and to prevent and reconcile inappropriate behavior. Exclusionary discipline has not shown to be effective in changing behavior.

In education, where the leader goes, there goes the district and school. Leaders must understand the importance of restorative practices for the implementation of those proactive strategies to grow. The purpose of this training for leaders is to start the movement of restorative practices in the southwest Georgia region.
