Course Description

Join JoAnn Wood and Joy Hatcher from the Georgia Department of Education as we dip deeply into inquiry-based instruction.

This one day training focuses on inquiry-based instruction and the GSE in Social Studies will cover:

*  an overview of the shift to inquiry and what that looks like in social studies

*  modeling an inquiry lesson (8th Grade & US History)

*  a chance to address questions and concerns

The training is appropriate for school, district and RESA leaders or teachers or any combination of those, although we will model an inquiry lesson from grade 8 & US History.

Participants may bring their own lunch or purchase one for $15 (cash or check only).
