Course Description

Diving Deep into core effective instructional practices in the world language classroom and defining proficiency and performance targets.

Focus on effective core instructional practices in the World Language Classroom.  

Topics discussed include but are not limited to:
Target Language use and comprehensibility including example instructional strategies to implement and assess, Interpersonal Activities, Setting learning targets and defining proficiency targets for students, Identifying student proficiency levels and integrating instructional activities from all three modes in lesson, weekly and unit planning. Using backward design to plan effective instructional units.

Lunch will not be provided- there will be a one-hour lunch break
