In an effort to be as successful as possible on legislative initiatives affecting the fire service, the NC State Firefighter's Association created this grassroots advocacy network. By joining, not only will you receive updates on fire service related legislative activities, you will also be provided with opportunities to provide input on legislation, receive information related to your legislative representatives, and simple methods to provide them with your thoughts on legislation affecting you.

Sign up and become a fire service advocate and assist NCSFA with efforts at the Legislature and Congress. You will also have an opportunity to:

  • Learn about the latest legislative issues that affect the fire service's core mission through timely updates via email, links to your legislators (including contact info), and tools and resources to voice concern or support on proposed legislation.
  • Advocate effectively with legislators on critical legislative issues and legislation important to the sustainability and growth of the fire service and your community.
  • Leverage your skill set as a fire service leader working with other fire service members in communicating with members of the North Carolina Legislature regarding issues of importance to the NC Fire Service.
  • Contact legislators on relevant and important legislation that affects us and actively engage in follow-up actions, such as emails, in-person visits/meetings, and phone calls to your state representatives.

This program is strictly voluntary, not time-intensive, and there is no monetary commitment.
