In House Public Safety Committee, SB 101 was stripped and replaced with language from HB 512. Among its numerous provisions, this bill allows for guns to be carried in all government buildings if ingress into the building is not restricted or screened by security personnel during business hours. ACCG opposes this provision, believing that this decision is best made by county governments. An earlier version that would have allowed guns to be carried into courthouses was removed from the bill.
