SUMMARY:  LC 47 1147

The bill would amend the statute on dates allowed to present a question to the voters such as a SPLOST.  In even-numbered years, the election could be held the third Tuesday in March unless it was a presidential election year.  It would then be held on the date of that primary.  The other two dates remain unchanged.

Current law allows a vote in even-numbered years only on the general primary date, general election date, or presidential primary in presidential election years.
