State Senator Gary Smith is an attorney and business man and a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish. He and his wife,Katherine, have one son, Henry, and one daughter, Anna Pierce.
Senator Smith represents St. Charles and St. John the Baptist Parishes and parts of Lafourche and Jefferson Parishes. The conservative democrat is serving his second term in the Senate. He previously served three terms in the House of Representatives.
