| Rep. Johnny Rye is serving his third term in the Arkansas House. He represents District 54 which includes portions of Poinsett and Mississippi counties.
For the 93rd General Assembly, Rep. Rye serves on the Joint Committee on Energy, the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee, the House Public Transportation Committee, and the House City, County & Local Affairs Committee.
He is a graduate of Arkansas State University.
Rep. Rye served as the Assessor for Poinsett County from 1991-2016. During much of that time, he served on the board for the Association of Arkansas Counties. He also served on the legislative committee for the association.
He is active in the Lions Club and Masonic Lodge. He served as District Governor for the Arkansas Lions Club.
Rep. Rye resides in Truman with his wife Julie. He has one daughter and one grandson. |
