Brain Injury Awareness month event "Unmasking Brain Injury" Hudgens Center
Story Date: 3/7/2017

The Hudgens Center welcomes you to join us for a "Meet the Mask Makers" reception in conjunction with our Unmasking Brain Injury art workshop. During the February workshop, brain injury survivors worked side by side with their caregivers and art volunteers to take a blank mask and craft an original work of art that tells their unique brain injury story. The original works of art were gifted to the Hudgens Center and will be showcased in an art exhibit this March for Brain Injury Awareness Month, as part of the Healing Arts Program.

The masks will then be gifted forward to a national brain injury awareness program, Unmasking Brain Injury, where the masks will become part of a permanent art collection that travels across the country. These will be the first masks from Georgia gifted to the national exhibit.

Meet the Mask Makers is free and open to the public.
