Reading Endorsement Course Three
This online and blended model class is a seminar in reading that accompanies a 20-hour in-class practical application piece. Participants will extend competency developed during the first and second courses of the reading endorsement. This course emphasizes the principles, practices and applications of a variety of reading assessments for students with different learning abilities and neess. This course is designed to extend and expand participants’ knowledge of addressing reading problems in the classroom. The course will focus specifically on current research, issues, materials, approaches, and assessment of teaching reading, and continue to investigate the identification and correction of classroom reading problems, organizing for instruction, and meeting the special needs of learners through differentiated classroom practices.
