Course Description
Teachers are designers. One of the most important factors of our profession is tocreate a learning experience that will engage, assess and teach our students to think critically and creatively. The effectiveness of our lesson design corresponds with whether or not the goals we set have been accomplished. In this second session of Mastery Teacher Mastery Learner teachers will participate in activities that will help them become exemplary in using Backwards Design to plan and execute lessons.

Target Audience:  Instructional Facilitators/Coaches, Classroom Teachers

Class Notes
We have all heard of Backwards Design but very few of us have a trueunderstanding of how to implement this model when it comes to planning and assessment. Teachers will be given the opportunity to use resources provided to create the rough draft of a lesson plan based upon the skills and techniques learned in this session.

If you choose PERSONAL PAY as your payment method, you must submit a money order or cashier's check to pay for this class prior to the first day of class.

If you choose DISTRICT/SYSTEM PAY as your payment method, the district must submit a system check to pay for the class. Please make payable to Oconee RESA and send to address below.

Withdrawal/Cancellation Policy
Notification of cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received before the registration deadline. Withdrawals/Cancellations received after the registration deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be refundable.
