| This legislation allows the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to create local mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disease offices, rather than requiring the Department to create regional offices. This bill also changes the regional boards to advisory councils. This legislation requires the county governing authority with a population of 50,000 or less shall appoint one person to the newly created advisory council and one additional person for every 50,000 of population, by July 1. |
