Course Description

Chris Cannon from GCEE will be the instructor for this course.

There is no registration fee for this GCEE workshop, lesson materials are included, and substitute reimbursement is offered.  

Lunch is also included.

 


Class Notes

This class is for High School Economics teachers.

 

Issues surrounding the federal budget, national debt, and budget deficit are outlined in the Georgia Standards for Economics (SSEMA3). Students with an informed perspective about these topics will make more knowledgeable and responsible decisions from their leaders about the nation’s finances. Workshop participants will engage in an interactive lesson and receive a total of fine inquiry-driven lesson plans using primary source documents on the topics of Social Security, Medicare, National Security, Political Beliefs, and Political Rhetoric.

 

There is no registration fee for this workshop.  Instructional materials are provided, substitute reimbursement is available and lunch is included with the workshop.
