| This legislation makes several changes to the hospital authorities law, including increasing how boards are expanded and appointed. It allows for the creation of joint hospital authorities, as well as authorizing hospital authorities to file for bankruptcy. This legislation also creates a Senior Citizens Services Authority in each county and city. This legislation contains the same language as SB 302. |

| This legislation will allow an Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to sign 1013 orders to hold mental health patients they deem to be a danger to themselves or others. There is a sunset date of March 15, 2015. Currently only doctors are allowed to sign these orders, this pilot project will document the cost savings of having additional professionals approved to sign the orders, thereby lowering transportation costs of the sheriff's departments. |
