| This legislation allows broadcasters to obtain "first informer broadcaster" certification from the Georgia Emergency Management Agency. It would allow these broadcasters to have access to their equipment or structures to make repairs to allow the broadcaster to continue broadcasting during an emergency. It also allows them to have access to the distribution of fuel, food, water, supplies and other materials to maintain or produce a broadcast signal. Finally, it would make their vehicles, fuel, food, water and other materials not subject to being seized during an emergency. |
