Hearing and Vision Screenings are required procedures for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) as they consider student performance through the RtI process and/or referral for evaluation by special education under Child Find provisions. School staff administering these screenings should be trained by credentialed trainers, and this training should be renewed every three years.
This activity is for individuals needing to certify for the first time OR needing to renew their certification (if trained in 2014 or before). Certificates will be awarded to participants who attend both the hearing AND vision trainings in their entirety to verify they have been trained to administer screenings for educational purposes at the school level. This will be the only training session offered during the 2017-2018 school year.
Participants should bring to the training the audiometer they will use for hearing screenings.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your class registration, you must contact the Registrar, Jennifer Hale (jhale@okresa.org) PRIOR to the registration deadline. If you cancel after the registration deadline or do not show up for class you will be billed for the class.

Certificate of Completion Policy
In order to receive your Certificate of Completion you must complete the Professional Learning Survey that will be sent out after the course. You will have two (2) weeks after the survey is sent to complete it. If you do not complete the Professional Learning Survey in the timeframe you will not receive your Certificate of Completion.
